Individuals who stand or walk a lot, but do not carry or lift things during their occupational activities were 2.0 times less likely to have hip OA (OR: 0.50; 95 % CI: 0.26,0.96). Individuals who usually lift or carry light loads or have to climb stairs or hills were 2.2 times less likely to have hip OA (OR: 0.45; 95 % CI: 0.21,0.95). The odds of having hip OA were 1.9 times lower in individuals consuming recommended or higher vitamin C intake (OR: 0.52; 95 % CI: 0.29,0.96). Significant differences in prevalence were found for both males and females across age categories. Conclusion: The prevalence of knee and hip OA obtained in this study is comparable to other studies. Females have greater knee OA prevalence and a greater proportion of women have mobility limitations as well as hip and knee pain; it is important to target this sub-group.]]> Wed 11 Apr 2018 11:28:25 AEST ]]> Population-based estimates of physical activity for adults with type 2 diabetes: a cautionary tale of potential confounding by weight status https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:15484 Wed 11 Apr 2018 11:00:11 AEST ]]> Healthy eating and active living for diabetes in primary care networks (HEALD-PCN): rationale, design, and evaluation of a pragmatic controlled trial for adults with type 2 diabetes https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:22522 Wed 11 Apr 2018 09:19:17 AEST ]]> Testing social-cognitive mediators for objective estimates of physical activity from the Healthy Eating and Active Living for Diabetes in Primary Care Networks (HEALD-PCN) study https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:25504 Thu 17 Mar 2022 14:36:18 AEDT ]]> Peer telephone counseling for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus:a case-study approach to inform the design, development, and evaluation of programs targeting physical activity https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:9375 Sat 24 Mar 2018 10:45:36 AEDT ]]> Physical activity and stages of change: a longitudinal test in types 1 and 2 diabetes samples https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:9376 Sat 24 Mar 2018 10:45:35 AEDT ]]> Physical activity related information sources predict physical activity behaviors in adults with Type 2 Diabetes https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:9383 Sat 24 Mar 2018 10:44:15 AEDT ]]> Awareness of Canada's Physical Activity Guide to Healthy Active Living in a large community sample https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:15583 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:25:15 AEDT ]]> Readiness to shop for low-fat foods: a population study https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:10530 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:13:58 AEDT ]]> The effects of a supplemental, theory-based physical activity counseling intervention for adults with type 2 diabetes https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:17988 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:56:20 AEDT ]]> Social support, self-efficacy and motivation: a qualitative study of the journey through HEALD (Healthy Eating and Active Living for Diabetes) https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:19297 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:56:08 AEDT ]]> Social support, self-efficacy and motivation: a qualitative study of the journey through HEALD (Healthy Eating and Active Living for Diabetes) https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:28995 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:29:24 AEDT ]]> Canada's physical activity guide: examining print-based material for motivating physical activity in the workplace https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:27591 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:23:41 AEDT ]]> Increase in daily steps after an exercise specialist led lifestyle intervention for adults with type 2 diabetes in primary care: a controlled implementation trial https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:23062 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:12:27 AEDT ]]> Sleep Health in Male-dominated Workplaces: A Qualitative Study Examining the Perspectives of Male Employees https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:44554 Mon 17 Oct 2022 10:13:27 AEDT ]]> A systematic review of workplace behavioral interventions to promote sleep health in men https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:38536 Fri 29 Oct 2021 10:15:52 AEDT ]]>
